Cycling and mountain biking
There are presently 18 marked footpaths and 6 cycling trails in the Municipality of Dolenjske Toplice. The starting point for all trails is the large map on the front of Dolenjske Toplice Cultural Congress Center, from where all routes are directed.
You can also hike and cycle along some other routes that are either not yet marked on the map or are managed by various groups and associations, for example the new Veliki Rigelj loop wine trail or MTB cycling trail from Sv. Peter (888), which descends all the way from the senic peak of Sv. Peter to the Krka river and is one of the longest MTB trails in Slovenia. Another legalized and maintained MTB cycling trail - JARKi, which descends from the top of Plešivica (594 m), awaits its official opening in the spring.
In the attachments below you will find maps and descriptions of tourist routes in the Municipality of Dolenjske Toplice. For more information and maps in physical form, visit TIC Dolenjske Toplice (Sitar House).
